Book SGR Train Tickets Online — Pay by Debit/Credit Card or M-Pesa

Book Madaraka Express (Nairobi–Mombasa) tickets on your behalf and pay with your Visa or Mastercard — no Kenyan M-Pesa line needed. Our team is at Mombasa Terminus (Miritini) every day to print and hand over your ticket too.

⚠️ Important Official Disclaimer

SGR Ticket Desk is an independent assistance service run by SGR Shuttle Mombasa. We are not Kenya Railways Corporation and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of KRC. All tickets are booked at the official Kenya Railways fare through KRC's own systems (metickets.krc.co.ke, USSD, or in person). Our fee covers the labor of booking, printing, or handling your request only, and is shown separately from the ticket price on every receipt. For the official ticketing platform, visit metickets.krc.co.ke directly.

Station Errands Made Simple

Booking, printing, and changing an SGR ticket all come down to one thing: showing up at the counter in person. That's fine if you live nearby and have M-Pesa. It's a real problem if you're a tourist without a Kenyan mobile line, a Kenyan stuck at work when the online system is down, or anyone standing in a queue that's longer than the time left before the train leaves.

Our staff are already stationed at Miritini terminus meeting shuttle passengers off every train, and Nairobi terminus is next. That means we can run these errands for you as part of a trip we're already making, not a special one.

Our Services

1. Priority Ticket Printing

Launching End of July 2026

Peak periods at Miritini get long queues at the self-service printing machines, and every ticket confirmation still has to be printed there before boarding. Some travelers have missed trains standing in that line. This service means your ticket is printed and ready before you need it.

How it works:
  1. Send us your booking reference or M-Pesa confirmation message before your travel date, by WhatsApp or through the site.
  2. We print it and hold it for you at Miritini (Mombasa Terminus).
  3. Walk straight to boarding. No queue, no risk of missing the departure.

Active Service

Plans change. Changing a travel date, swapping class, or cancelling an SGR ticket requires a physical trip to the station counter. We handle this for you. Simply send us a clear photocopy or photo of your ID/Passport (the one used for the ticket). Our station staff will use their own original physical ID to represent you at the counter and process the change.

Pay for SGR Train Tickets With a Debit or Credit Card

Kenya Railways' official channels are built around M-Pesa and Kenyan mobile money, which leaves most international visitors stuck — no Kenyan SIM, no M-Pesa, no easy way to pay. We fix that. Book your Madaraka Express ticket here and pay with any Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card at secure checkout, or with M-Pesa if you have it. You never need a Kenyan mobile-money line to ride the SGR.

💳 Card or M-PesaPay by Visa/Mastercard debit or credit card, or M-Pesa. Ideal for tourists and travellers without a Kenyan bank account.
📩 Sent by SMS, WhatsApp & emailYour booking confirmation and e-ticket details arrive by SMS, WhatsApp and email, so you have them on hand before you travel.
🖨️ Printed & ready at MiritiniAdd printing and we hand you the physical boarding ticket at Mombasa Terminus — no kiosk queue, no missed train.

Payments are processed securely through our payment provider. The official Kenya Railways fare is always charged at cost and shown separately from our service fee.

How we're different from online-only agents

A few sites will book an SGR ticket for you and text you the confirmation. We're not just a booking service, we're already standing at the terminus every day for our transfer business, so printing and station errands aren't an extra trip for us, they're something we're already doing when you need them done.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I pay for SGR train tickets with a debit or credit card?

Yes. You can pay with any Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card, or with M-Pesa. Card payment is ideal for international travellers who don't have a Kenyan M-Pesa line. Every payment is processed securely at checkout, and the official Kenya Railways fare is always shown separately from our service fee.

How will I receive my SGR ticket and confirmation?

We send your booking confirmation and e-ticket details by SMS, WhatsApp, and email. If you choose the print-and-hand-over option, our team also prints the physical ticket and holds it for you at Mombasa Terminus (Miritini) so you can walk straight to boarding.

Are you selling official SGR tickets?

No. We book your ticket through Kenya Railways' own systems at the real fare, then charge a separate, disclosed fee for doing it on your behalf. You can always book directly at metickets.krc.co.ke or at any station.

Can you help if I don't have M-Pesa or a Kenyan bank account?

Yes — this is exactly who the service is built for. Pay with your international Visa or Mastercard and we handle the booking, printing, and station errands for you at the official Kenya Railways fare.

What if my train is delayed or cancelled?

That's between you and Kenya Railways. We'll help however we can, but refunds and schedule changes are decided by KRC, not us.

Can you help if I've already left Kenya or cannot reach the station?

Yes. Booking, printing, rescheduling, and cancellation are all fully supported. Kenya Railways allows our staff to act as your proxy at the counter when we present a copy/photo of your ID/Passport alongside our representative's physical original ID.

How do I reach you?
